This guide explains how to connect Notion to your bntr Chatbot, which allows the chatbot to draw data from your Notion pages. Follow the appropriate steps below to either create a new chatbot or update an existing one. Be sure to read the ‘Refreshing Notion Connection’ section at the bottom of this guide.
Creating a New Chatbot
1. Log in to Your bntr Account
- Visit bntr.ai and log in with your credentials.
2. Create a New Chatbot
- Click on ‘Create Chatbot’ to start the process of creating a new chatbot.
3. Navigate to the Connections Section
- In the chatbot creation interface, find and navigate to the ‘Connections’ section in the menu.
4. Select ‘Connect Notion’
- Click on the ‘Connect Notion’ option in the Connections section.
5. Log in to Your Notion Account
- Follow the on-screen prompts to log in to your Notion account. Authorize bntr to access your Notion data if required.
6. Select Notion Pages
- Choose the Notion pages you want your chatbot to draw data from.
7. Add Other Data Sources (Optional)
- If needed, you can add other data sources before proceeding.
8. Finalize Your Chatbot
- Click ‘Next’ and follow the remaining steps to complete the creation of your chatbot.

Updating an Existing Chatbot
1. Log in to Your bntr Account
- Visit bntr.ai and log in with your credentials.
2. Select the Chatbot to Update
- Locate the chatbot you want to update. Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the chatbot card and select ‘Update’.
3. Navigate to the Connections Section
- In the chatbot editing interface, go to the ‘Connections’ section.
4. Select ‘Connect Notion’
- Click on the ‘Connect Notion’ option.
5. Log in to Your Notion Account
- Follow the on-screen prompts to log in to your Notion account. Authorize bntr to access your Notion data if required.
6. Select Notion Pages
- Choose the Notion pages you want your chatbot to draw data from.
7. Update the Chatbot
- Click ‘Update’ to save the changes to your chatbot.
Refreshing Notion Connection
Any time the information in your Notion pages is updated, you will need to refresh the Notion connection in your chatbot:
1. Go to the Update Section
- Log in to your bntr account and select the chatbot you want to update. Click on the three dots in the top right-hand corner and select ‘Update’.
2. Navigate to the Connections Section
- Go to the ‘Connections’ section.
3. Refresh the Notion Connection
- Select the ‘Connect Notion’ button and go through the steps to log in and select the Notion pages again.
4. Save the Changes
- Click ‘Update’ to refresh the connection and save the changes.
